Dental

MinXray portable dental x-ray equipment is designed for use in nursing homes, private homes, correctional facilities, field clinics, military installations, or anywhere an x-ray machine must be brought to the patient. Two models are available --HF70D and P200D Mk III. Each unit has the control integral with the head, simplifying setup and reducing the number of
carrying case for the tubehead, cords, and dental cone.

The ultra lightweight HF70D is perfect for field hospitals and remote clinics. All controls are located on the HF70D tubehead. The model HF70D sets a new standard for portable dental x-ray units. Incredibly light in weight, its high frequency circuitry produces a higher power-to-weight ratio than any
other portable system. The HF70D generates 10 mA at 60, 65, and 70 kVDC, and weighs only 9.25 lbs. (4.2 kgs)! Line voltage compensation is automatic. Short, closely spaced exposure time settings make this unit ideal for use with any imaging modality, including digital.

The HF70D comes complete with dental cone, backscatter shield, power cord, exposure cord, and carrying case meeting military specifications. You can order the HF70D for either 115V or 230V use. The MinXray HF70D is compatible with the model X100S tripod stand.

Podiatry

Working with leading podiatrists, MinXray designed and built its first podiatric x-ray unit in the early 1970s, just a few years after the company was established. Today, MinXray offers three x-ray units to the podiatric professional; the stationary model PS200, mobile model PM200R40, and wall-mounted model PW200R40

Our first unit was a floor model designed for weight bearing radiography. Experience in podiatry over the years resulted in many improvements culminating in the current model PS200

This versatile system can be installed with the x-ray unit on either the left or right side of the orthoposer base to best fit the space available in the podiatry office. DP, AP and oblique views may be taken without having the patient mount the orthoposer base, thus enhancing safety. Lateral views of the foot, all ankle views and other specialty views are taken with the patient standing on the orthoposer base. The economical MinXray PS200 has a clean contemporary design requiring minimal floor space.

The PS200 features the P200 tubehead. Accurate positioning is made easy; the continuously adjustable light beam collimator indicates the center of the x-ray beam while illuminating the entire field of radiation for full or partial film exposures. In addition to the collimator shutters, only two controls must be set; the line voltage compensator and the electronic timer. The life of the x-ray tube is extended through the use of thermal overload protection. The collimator light bulb is protected via an automatic shutoff.

The new MinXray model PM200R40 is a mobile x-ray unit that can be easily wheeled from room to room. The base is counterweighted and stable, eliminating the need for long legs. The height of the tubehead is easily positioned for weight bearing radiography on the floor or an orthoposer, or non-weight bearing views over a chair or operating table.

Wall mounting is possible with the new MinXray model PW200R40 x-ray unit. This model takes no floor space, and can be mounted to facilitate weight- or non-weight bearing radiography. The double balance arm extends the focal spot 72" from the wall, with 44" of vertical travel. When folded, the compact arm requires minimal wall space. The PW200R40 can be installed for use within a single room, or mounted on a common wall to swing between two areas.

MinXray mobile and wall-mounted x-ray units use the new P200R40 x-ray tubehead. Digital touch pad controls on the tubehead make it easy to set exposure times. The continuously adjustable collimator is certified for general-purpose radiographic use. A convenient inclinometer indicates the tubehead angle, simplifying positioning.

The openness of these podiatric x-ray systems allows wheelchair patients easy access to the radiographic area. Purchase of the MinXray PS200, PM200R40, or PW200R40 should qualify for a Capital Expenditure Tax Deduction or a Disabled Access Tax Credit under the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990. An informational bulletin describing these tax deductions and credits is available from MinXray. As always, you should seek professional accounting advice on this matter.

MinXray Orthoposer for use With Mobile and Wall-Mounted X-Ray Systems The MinXray Orthoposer is designed for easy use and patient safety. For lateral projections it will firmly hold any cassette, or non-screen film envelope up to 10" x 12" (24cm x 30cm), while exposing half the film. The unexposed half of the film is protected from radiation by a built-in lead shield. The Orthoposer is made with attractive, easy to clean laminate, and complements any decor. It is low enough for easy mounting and large enough so the patient feels secure. The MinXray model OP Orthoposer can be used with most x-ray units.
